Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is partnering with a well-respected client to find a talented Human Resource Generalist to come aboard a high performing team. This HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Primary responsibilities include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and working with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. This role is located in Buffalo, NY and is a HYBRID position! Your responsibilities

  • Administer employee satisfaction surveys and give actionable insights to improve employees experience

  • Manage disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addresses employee grievances

  • Design a system for storing physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records

  • Assess employee performance and appraises their pay scale accordingly

  • Design employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities

  • Build a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections

  • Collaborate closely with outside vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain CSR standards conscripted by authorities

  • Create onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations

  • Leverage HR software to manage payroll and employee benefits, including bonuses, leaves, and absences administration

  • Produce official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • Strong organization skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications a plus

  • Ability to influence, interact, and build strong relationships at all levels across the organization

  • 3+ years of human resources experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Seasoned in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
