Cannon Design Operations Director, IDC in Buffalo, New York

CannonDesign has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Director, IDC. This position may be filled anywhere in the United States. Preference may be given to candidates that can work in one of the CannonDesign locations, ideally within the central and eastern region offices. ABOUT THE ROLE
Your assignment will be dedicated to The Innovation Design Consortium (IDC). The IDC is an organization of the most prestigious architecture and engineering firms in the world focused on the advancement of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry through technological innovation and partnerships.The anticipated length of this assignment is 24 months.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Manage projects and initiatives with the IDC working groups and board of directors
  • Lead IDC program objectives, metrics, and priorities and ensure ongoing updates and communication across the IDC committees/groups
  • Organize and facilitate ideation sessions for IDC partner firms to identify and set strategic plans
  • Assist working groups with change management and adoption strategies
  • Identify, track, and raise issues and risks related to working group initiatives
  • Setup meetings and prepare meeting agendas
  • Take meeting notes and provide summaries back to attendees
  • Ensure alignment and follow through by the different working groups
  • Create presentations
  • Negotiate contracts with partners and vendors
  • Monitor and respond to email for those seeking information about the IDC
  • Conduct independent research and analysis of potential technology tools needed by the IDC
  • Prepare RFPs, analyze submissions, and make recommendations to the steering committee and board of directors
  • Assist with documentation, report writing, policies, procedures, templates, and other administrative tasks
  • Investigational and analytical skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats with leadership
  • Analyze strategic growth opportunities and provide business analysis (financial models, due diligence, business case writing) for review with the executive committee
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer management or related fields required
  • 10 years or more in Business, Operations, and/or Project Managementroles required
  • Experience in the AEC Industry, preferred
  • PMI Certification, or equivalent, preferred
  • Experience conducting independent research and analysis.
  • Strong technology background
  • Experience working with various ventures, partnership, companies towards innovation for an
  • industry, preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Experience in data analytics, reporting, and visualization capabilities through dashboards and reporting metrics
  • Strong writing, communication, management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling presentations
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and is self-motivated
  • Strong customer service

The salary range for this position is $114,912 - $143,640 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
