Jostens Photo Team Manager - Buffalo, NY in Buffalo, New York

While this role is considered remote, you must live in the Buffalo, NY area to support local events if needed.

Training Starts: July 10, 2023

Manage day-to-day operations of your school photography hub. Paid training, NO PHOTO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Bring your awesome leadership skills and we will train you on the rest!

School Photography Operations:

  • Ensure school picture day events are well staffed with the appropriate number of photographers

  • Ensure all details of each photo day event are clear to assigned photographers and school contacts through ongoing communication

  • Attend/lead weekly, virtual team meetings

  • Research and determine centralized storage location for photography equipment

  • Receive, organize, and assign all photography equipment to photographers

  • Collect all photography equipment at the end of the season

Employee Management:

  • Schedule photographers and manage school assignments

  • Provide clear communication of expectations to photographers and ensure adherence of JostensPIX standards and attendance

  • Partner with HR to conduct interviews and hire all photographers

Photography Execution:

  • Understand and execute JostensPIX photography in a technical and practical way

  • Oversee hotel reservations for photographer travel (as needed)


  • Participate in pre-season “Train the Trainer” sessions (in-person and/or virtual as applicable)

  • Provide ongoing training and answer photographer questions throughout the season


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others at all levels within the organization

  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skill

  • Extremely organized with a high attention to detail

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

  • Availability to work early mornings and late nights as applicable

  • Comfortable working with computers and ability to learn new programs

  • Excellent analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working in a school environment with children of all ages and abilities

  • Grooming and demeanor appropriate for role and Jostens’ corporate image

  • Valid US driver's license and reliable, insured car (use of public transportation is not permitted)

  • Ability to travel within HUB territory

  • Reliable, consistent cell phone (US) and internet access

  • Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, customer service, and general business experience

    Local Requirement:

  • (Where applicable) Per school or state requirements: Fingerprint scan and/or Tuberculosis clearance.
