Product Management Director Sr - Maternity

As a Product Management Director Sr., you will be tasked with updating our Maternity and Fertility product portfolio with next-gen solutions. You will manage a team and work with multidisciplinary stakeholders and clinical leaders across Anthem to oversee the end-to-end creation of new products from concept to launch.

Your knowledge of our client's evolving needs, the competitive landscape, and our sales performance combine to rationalize your product roadmap plans.

  • Masterful at cross-functional communication to ensure all clinical and non-clinical stakeholders have everything needed to collaborate effectively.

Primary duties:

  • Champions the vision and guides the product strategy and roadmap.

  • Sets development priorities and secures stakeholder alignment along the way.

  • Oversees the implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements.

  • Ensures collaborative workflow and that checks and balances are maintained at each stage of development by following Anthem’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) approach.

  • Mentors, coaches, and counsels team members with dotted-lined accountability to you.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on rate actions for existing products.

  • Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes, and other methods.

  • Monitors product performance and those of competitors.

  • Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.

  • Supports the development of short and long-term strategic product promotions in support of market, sales, and profitability objectives.

  • Identifies operating requirements to support short and long-term product strategies.

  • Refines policies/processes that increase the speed and agility of our product development approach.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires BA/BS degree; 7 years of relevant industry experience (product/program management, product planning/strategy); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proven experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams.

  • Direct product management experience with complex, high-cost conditions.

  • Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Market Strategy, Market Research or Risk Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with developing and managing Maternity and fertility program is highly preferred.

  • MBA preferred

Annual Salary Range*: $123,816 - $154,770

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
