Your Talent. Our Vision. At Anthem, Inc., it’s a powerful combination, and the foundation upon which we’re creating greater access to care for our members, greater value for our customers, and greater health for our communities. Join us and together we will drive the future of health care.

This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America's leading health care companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.

Product Management Director Sr. - Disease Mgmt.

Are you a seasoned product development leader with experience launching successful health care products? Have you owned a product roadmap and managed a disciplined strategic process for developing ideas and taking them to market?

We are investing in innovation and looking for product leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset, who challenge the status quo and create high-value products informed by an outside-in client and consumer perspective.

Our Commercial Product division is growing, and we are establishing a new Clinical Products team, tasked with updating our product portfolio and building next-gen solutions that transform the lives of people struggling with the most complex and costly conditions.

As a Senior Product Director, you and your team will lead collaborative projects with multidisciplinary stakeholders and clinical leaders across Anthem to oversee the end-to-end creation of new products from concept to launch. You will use data and marketplace research to rationalize plans and drive build vs. buy analyses.

You will also actively manage the product lifecycle for several existing disease management products within our portfolio such as diabetes, heart disease, musculoskeletal, lung disorders, kidney disease, hypertension, and other conditions. Your familiarity with clinical management programs, knowledge of our clients’ evolving needs, the competitive landscape, and our sales performance, combine to guide your product roadmap decisions to retire out-of-date products or reimagine them.

You will “own” your products and be the source of truth for them. You will maintain product performance dashboards, document changes to sales parameters, and occasionally collaborate with our sales and account management organization to support key client meetings.

  • Excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.

  • Masterful at cross-functional communication to ensure all clinical and non-clinical stakeholders have everything needed to collaborate effectively.

  • Proven “radar” for identifying when a struggling project needs additional guidance or knowledge from other experts within Anthem.

  • Strong experience delivering solutions that delight customers and stakeholders, and deliver on the intended value proposition, and managing customer expectations when a solution will not deliver the results envisioned.

Primary duties:
