The Opportunity

Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Retail Intern to join our Parks and Resorts retail team in Buffalo, New York. As a Retail Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to dive into a large-scale retail operation that spans Parks and Resorts across the country. You will master retail merchandising basics, learn how to work cross-functionally in an office setting between multiple teams, and gain technical understanding of systems. Our fun and inclusive Summer 2023 internship program provides emerging talent with the opportunity to develop their career and leadership capabilities while impacting the business of a global hospitality and entertainment company.

Minimum pay rate: $17.00 / hour

Responsibilities

• Meet with high-tier vendor partners to discuss implementation.

• Execute competitive shopping to analyze competitors, understand best practices, and evaluate how that would look in our environment.

• Create documents of go forward technologies, features, benefits, and tools for associates on selling product with impact of that to sales.

• Measure fixture performance trends at Niagara Falls Visitor Center to gain insight into maximizing productivity and placements.

• Develop sales tools for store team members.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferably in Fashion Merchandising, Merchandising, Business, or similar fields.

• Have a passion for retail, merchandising, service, and National Parks

• Are solution oriented with ability to learn and process feedback

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Work well within a group and team setting, and across multiple levels of management

• Can commit to a full time work schedule and adapt to the needs of the business.

• Proficient in MS Office
