Under the direct supervision of an assigned and licensed/certified Speech/Language Pathologist, the CFY candidate would provide speech/language therapy services to individuals as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan or Individual Family Service Plan. Services are to be provided in accordance with New York State practice act guidelines for Speech/Language Therapy Services the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association as well as within all regulations and requirements set forth by the organizations with which the company collaborates.

Interviewing for Summer '24 and '24/'25 School Year

Starting rate for most positions: $50/HR

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assesses students’ communication skills (e.g. articulations,fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose ofidentifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility anddeveloping recommendations for treatment

• Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals forthe purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providingservices in compliance with established guidelines

• Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students(e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.)for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans,and/or providing training to parents/students/staff

• Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educationalmaterials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communicationdisorders in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriatecommunication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentativecommunication devices, etc.)

• Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports,activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation,quarterly reports, screening results, etc.)

• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-LanguagePathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site

• Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements

• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
