About the Street Team Organizer Position
Part-time

Duties and Responsibilities
Promote PUSH related events, activities, initiatives, and services
Distribute print material & communicate regarding PUSH Buffalo services, events, member leader initiatives etc.
Support active PUSH campaigns, including but not limited to housing and climate justice.
Outreach, including but not limited to phone and text banking, canvassing, tabling and going door-to-door in the community.
Attend community and PUSH member meetings and events.
Help build voter power through voter registration, get out the vote efforts, and voter engagement.
Assist with base-building, data entry, data collection, and other tasks as needed.
Perform job duties in ways that will promote and uphold our organization’s mission.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma, equivalent experience and/or some college coursework.
Must be at least 16 years of age. (Candidates under 18 must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US (working papers) at the time of application).
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Basic office skills, including answering phones, retrieving voicemails, record-keeping.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with email, internet, printers and scanners, etc. Salesforce experience helpful.
An enthusiastic, creative, strategic, willing and flexible attitude.
Expressed commitment to economic, racial, climate, housing and social justice.
Basic facilitation skills or desire/ability to learn.
Basic phone banking skills and etiquette.
Basic canvassing knowledge and/or skills.
A valid NYS driver’s license and access to reliable private transportation is helpful.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team.
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (as part of canvassing duties), work in cold and hot environments, outside and in various buildings and lift up to 25 pounds.
Pay is $17.00 per hour.
