WSP is currently initiating a search for a Summer 2022 Civil Engineering Intern for our Buffalo, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Buffalo Civil Design Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Join our diverse team working on a variety of civil projects for state and city agencies and/or local municipalities.
Aid in design and drafting of rail, highway, and urban roadway projects.
Participate in field inspection services.
Gain experience in MicroStation and/or Autocad.
Assist in generating and checking construction cost estimates and unit pricing.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
Who You Are
Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Current standing as a Rising Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program.
Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
Experience with CAD Software and highway, or site design.
