POSITION : The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tonja Williams, is interested in receiving applications for qualified candidates for the position of:

SST SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST-HOURLY SUMMER 2022

LOCATION: TBD SEE DATES FOR PROGRAM: JULY/AUGUST 2022 Number of Days to be TBD

QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must be New York State certified in Social Work. A minimum of two (2) years of social work experience as part of a CSE committee is preferable. Candidates should have experience in providing clinical support and in demonstrating ability in a wide range of therapeutic modalities. Summer school seniority is defined as previous years of BPS summer employment in a classroom setting. Only current and active BPS employees earn summer school seniority. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Psychologist will be responsible for but not limited to the following: · Serve as a mandated member of the Committee on Special Education. · Conduct mandated Psychological/Educational evaluations per State and Federal Regulations. · Prepare written reports and assist in the development of Individual Education Plans for students with disabilities including computer input into IEP software. · Work with teachers and staff to develop appropriate Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans. · Perform any assigned duties deemed necessary and appropriate. Teachers may need to provide remote instruction for students who are medically exempt or in the event a student needs to quarantine.
