Union - Local Delivery Driver. Full-Time. Benefits. Buffalo, NY.

Forest Materials, Inc. a Commercial Architectural Woodwork company, Retail Lumberyard and Union Millwork Shop is looking for a local delivery driver to join our Team, who will be primarily responsible for making deliveries of fine, high-quality millwork. Forest Materials primarily works as a sub-contractor for large commercial construction companies in Western New York. We are a family-owned business that takes pride in the quality of our products and customer-centric service, as well as our employees. Forest Materials has been proudly creating high quality custom cabinets and architectural millwork for 70 years.

Requirements: - Experienced Local Delivery Driver (2 years) - Ability to drive Standard Transmission (i.e., stick shift) - Class A CDL License - Clean and Safe Driving Record - Forklift Experience

Responsibilities: - Unloads delivery trucks of millwork, lumber, trim, etc. - Lifts, carries, pulls, pushes, and loads materials onto trucks (50+ pounds) - Performs daily safety vehicle checks on trucks and forklifts for safety purposes - Secures loads using straps, poles, or ropes - Completes proper paperwork to verify loading and submits to the Yard Manager - Responsible for keeping company vehicles neat and tidy - Conducts vehicle safety checks and fills out Driver's Vehicle Condition reports as required by DOT - Performs other duties as requested by the Yard Manager - Cleans and maintains work area free from dirt and clutter to prevent accidents and allow for safe forklift movement within the warehouse

Abilities: - Strong work ethic - Effective communications, both verbal and written - Mechanically inclined

Hours Required Full-time Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (Summer Hours 7:00am-3:30pm), limited mandatory over-time
