Splish Splash Theme Park Maintenance Manager - Full-tme in Calverton, New York

Maintenance Manager- Splish Splash - Full Time Position Overview: Park Maintenance is a Full-time hourly benefited position here at Splish Splash Water Park. The position entails repairing and maintaining all rides and mechanical equipment in the park. Ensures that all rides meet local, state, and federal safety requirements through daily inspection and supports the park daily operation. Job Requirements: Oversees and ensures the success of the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department. Study manuals to gain a better understanding of the working parts of rides and other equipment. Inspect rides daily by observing equipment in operation. Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedures of Splish Splash. Demonstrate and continually provide friendly, clean, fast and safe service to each guest. Implement Guest Service programs and continually follow up with team members on Guest Service related measurements. Responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe and timely manner as to not affect the guest experience or Team Member experience. Ensure all facility inspections are completed regularly including waterpark slides, pools and buildings. Performs frequent daily site inspections of ongoing work and review of upcoming work. Check park areas frequently for any needed repairs and maintenance. Observe safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions immediately. Other duties as assigned that contribute to the overall operation of the park. Planning/Organizing - Prioritize and plan weekly and daily activities; file appropriate documentation and able to furnish information on request; fill downtime with appropriate task; and work in an efficient manner. Quality Control - Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance. Dependability - Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent. Minimum Qualifications: Prior experience in Waterpark Maintenance preferred A working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations Certified Pool/Spa Operations preferred Must be available days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Must have a valid New York Driver's License The ability to work indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions Must have the ability to stand, walk and run for periods of time, as well as bend, squat, kneel and stoop when needed Ability to read, write and communicate effectively Ability to effectively manage seasonal work crews of varying sizes to success
