Thompson Health Cafe/Grill Cook in Canandaigua, New York
Description
Schedule: Full time - days, evenings, nights and weekends
Main Function:
Responsible for the preparation, seasoning, garnishing of food for Café meals.
This task is to be completed based on departmental recipes and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
Required Job Specific Competencies:
Demonstrates skill in the ability to prepare food & knowledge of proper safe food handling.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently & exhibits flexibility in decision making & prioritizing assignments.
Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all nutrition associates.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Qualifications:
Required High School or Equivalent
Preferred Associates degree in food service related field
Required six months food service experience.
Preferred 2 years’ experience in healthcare
Preferred Serve safe certified.
Pay Range: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
