Thompson Health Cafe/Grill Cook in Canandaigua, New York

Description

Schedule: Full time - days, evenings, nights and weekends

Main Function:

  • Responsible for the preparation, seasoning, garnishing of food for Café meals.

  • This task is to be completed based on departmental recipes and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations.

Required Job Specific Competencies:

  • Demonstrates skill in the ability to prepare food & knowledge of proper safe food handling.

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently & exhibits flexibility in decision making & prioritizing assignments.

  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all nutrition associates.

  • Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.

Qualifications:

  • Required High School or Equivalent

  • Preferred Associates degree in food service related field

  • Required six months food service experience.

  • Preferred 2 years’ experience in healthcare

  • Preferred Serve safe certified.

Pay Range: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour

Starting Pay: Based on Experience
