Position Title Assistant Athletic Trainer

Primary Responsibilities

St. Lawrence University invites applications for a part-time, Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position is a 10-month, hourly (part-time) staff position. Our athletic training staff provides services for a comprehensive athletic program which features 32 intercollegiate teams, including Division I Men’s and Women’s Hockey.

The successful candidate will work with other athletic training staff members in the care, prevention, clinical evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of the student-athletes. This includes but is not limited to, providing game and practice coverage, managing and organizing medical records, assisting with supervising/mentoring student first-aiders, and communicating with assigned team coaches. The part time athletic trainer’s primary responsibilities will be determined by the Head Athletic Trainer. This is a part time position with no more than 30 hours per week. Teaching in the Sport and Exercise Science minor is also a possibility. Athletic training opportunities during Summer Camps are available.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. • NATABOC certified and in good standing. • Applicant must be New York State licensed or eligible and have CPR/AED certification. Ability to meet University requirements to drive a University vehicle required.
