Position Title Facilities Manager
FLSA Exempt
Primary Responsibilities
The facilities manager will direct all custodial and maintenance operations in all buildings or buildings as assigned to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Essential Functions
Plan, schedule, supervise, and record all cleaning/maintenance efforts in buildings assigned to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Develop and maintain major task assignments and schedules for assigned custodians and cleaners. Monitor work performance to ensure compliance with established departmental standards and goals.
Estimate, order, and maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning supplies and equipment. Direct assigned staff in the proper use of equipment in the performance of their job duties.
Direct and manage personnel actions to include, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, merit recommendations, promotion, transfer, vacation schedules and recommendations for dismissals. Provide and promote training in all aspects of operation.
Develop and maintain various capital, construction, and operational budgets and initiate the preparation of annual reports and projections related to the above responsibilities. Approve purchases and review for proper accounts and authorization.
Work with all other departments and administration throughout the campus on custodial and maintenance problems. Assure that needs are met for summer programs and special events.
Supervision and coordination of outside contractors conducting work on University buildings.
Participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervision
Responsible for the supervision of custodians, cleaners, general laborers, and additional temporary and summer help. Also, outside contractors work pertaining to the university buildings.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) with demonstrated supervisory experience in related field: or five or more years of supervisory experience with demonstrated interest in continuing education in facilities administration or related field.

Salary $60,500 - $65,000 annual salary
Status (FT, PT, Seasonal, Temp) Full-time (12 months)
