Position Title Graduate Assistant Coach - Track & Field

Primary Responsibilities

St. Lawrence University is currently seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant Coach for M/W Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field. This 9-month position (August 15, 2019 – May 15, 2020) is targeted toward graduate students seeking a master’s degree. Remuneration includes a very competitive coaching stipend, student health insurance, and eligibility for tuition remission (6 graduate classes per year in the University’s graduate program).

Primary event responsibilities will be in the sprints, jumps and/or combined events. Responsibilities include providing instruction, assisting the Head Men’s and Head Women’s coaches with all aspects of operating a successful Track and Field program such as: practice preparation, event coaching, recruiting, home meet management responsibilities, developing strength and conditioning programs, and other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary. A valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements to drive University vehicles required. Must apply and be accepted in the graduate program at St. Lawrence University.

Preferred Qualifications

Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
