Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Student Life, the Interim Program Coordinator provides programming, advising, and training support for International Student Services in the areas of intercultural engagement, inclusion, and belonging. This role supports programming efforts and coordination, student organization support, and aid in training opportunities. The role works closely with International Education, the Chaplain’s office, and the Associate Dean of Student Life.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and/or implement student-facing intercultural programming to build connection, foster identity-development, and facilitate student success; collaborate with other student facing or academic departments on university programming and heritage month celebrations as appropriate.
Formally and/or informally advise or support intercultural and identity-based registered student organizations. Serve as a resource for associated theme house communities.
Assist with programming, training, and other support for the areas of intercultural engagement, inclusion, & belonging, international student services, the chaplain’s office, and student life.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Applied understanding of intercultural engagement and inclusion and its role in supporting student success.
Experience executing programming, event planning, and/or training
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours as student programming needs and major events require.
The anticipated start date for this position is February 1, 2025. The interim term of employment is approximately four months, concluding on June 1, 2025
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in education, higher education administration or counseling, psychology, or related field.
Salary $24 - $28 per hour
