Primary Responsibilities
St. Lawrence University invoices applications for a SAMHSA Grant Coordinator position. This is a part-time, temporary position, averaging 20 hours per week (August 15 – November 8, 2024).
The grant coordinator will be responsible for assisting with implementation of the goals and activities of the SAMHSA GLS Grant. Grant goals and activities focus on substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, and increased access to emotional and mental health support for St. Lawrence University students.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Outreach and relationship building with community partners.
Assisting with grant-related projects, including communicating with on-campus partners.
Tracking grant-related data and goals; entering data into the SPARS system by required deadlines.
Coordinating logistics for suicide prevention trainings, such as advertising via campus-wide emails, tracking signups, and arranging space/technology needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or at least one year experience working as an administrative assistant.
Strong work ethic, commitment, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ability to work and communicate with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years post-graduate experience in public health, higher education, non-profit prevention work or related field.
Previous experience working in a higher education setting.
Experience using social media for marketing and event promotion related to health and wellness.
Event planning.
Salary $21.00 - 23.90/hour
