Human Resources Intern at Marquardt Switches, Inc.:

The HR Intern support the general Human Resources business by supporting training, recruiting, benefits, and employee relations functions.

Note: During the school year, the position is part-time depending on student's schedule. The HR Intern will work 40 hours per week during the summer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with advertising benefits to employees.

  • Coordinate some aspects of employee service recognition.

  • Learn about HR processes from a company level to Federal requirements.

  • Assist with global HR projects.

  • Create PTO tracking system.

  • Assist with data entry.

  • Perform other tasks/functions as necessary.

    Required Qualifications for this role include:

  • Currently enrolled and working towards Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA

  • Minimum of a sophomore status to apply. Master’s level encouraged as well.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Good customer relations.

  • Willingness to learn new things.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.

  • Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods

  • Ability to occasionally stand and walk

  • Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception for extended periods
