Validation Test Engineering Intern at Marquardt Switches, Inc.:
The Validation Test Engineering intern will assist full time Validation Test Engineers and Technicians with various design and process validation activities.
Conduct tests of electro-mechanical switch products under development and/or in production based on test criteria established by policies, procedures, and test plans.
Maintain accurate records of all test results and report test results to appropriate personnel.
Prepare prototype components and test fixtures for use in testing activities.
Perform installation and repair of test equipment and components as required.
Recommend improvements to testing procedures through analysis and interpretation of customer and internal specifications.
Independently execute small projects aimed at test equipment / process optimization.
Required Qualifications for this role:
Working towards a Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3.0 GPA
Minimum of a sophomore status to apply.
Basic computer skills, including the use of windows, email, and Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical test equipment and processes.
Ability to prepare complex written reports of test results.
General understanding of the new product development cycle.
Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action to solve them to prevent recurrence.
Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally stand and walk.
Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception for extended periods.
