Sodexo Accounting Analyst in CHEEKTOWAGA, New York
Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our FSS Contract Management team located in Buffalo ( Cheektowaga ), NY . This position provides timely and accurate contract and unit set up and administration of amendments. We are looking for candidates with 2-3 years of work experience in an accounting position. SAP experience is strongly preferred for this position. Additionally, a candidate with hospitality experience is preferred, someone well seasoned, and can work independently. This team manages all segments throughout Sodexo within the U.S. and Canada overseeing roughly 2500 contracts/documents a year.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Identify & initiate coaching and training on company policies, procedures, policies and systems, problem resolution techniques and effective communication.
Coach and monitor results for technical development of others. Lead projects with guidance
Ensure integrity of business line internal financial reporting preparing balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
Consistently apply objective accounting judgment to knowledge of contractual agreements & company policy
Analyze & resolve assigned general ledger accounts
Maintain company databases; utilize technical skills at a high level for in depth global analysis
Work proactively to prevent problems anticipating changing operational and client needs

Position Summary
Has working knowledge and experience in own discipline. Assists in the maintenance of accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organization's assets. Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports. Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
