Hamilton College Project Management Intern in Clinton, New York

This internship will provide exposure to project planning and construction management. You will work collaboratively with team members, contractors and consultants, actively participating in discussions and supporting all aspects of Capital Planning and Project Management.

Pay for Summer Employment is based on the current Student Wage Guidelines, with hourly rates of $15.00, $15.25 and $15.50 available.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support Project Managers on assigned projects.

  • Attend project meetings and record meeting minutes as required.

  • Assist with the tracking and inspection of material deliveries

  • Post RFI's, bulletins, ASI's, etc., to project documents.

  • Assist in obtaining and/or verifying field information (photos/field measurements).

  • Assist in proposal review.

  • Perform project monitoring of construction activities.

  • Research existing drawings and files.

  • Scan and catalog construction documents.

  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Project Management team

  • College student of good academic standing pursuing studies in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction, or equivalent

  • Construction-related field experience is desirable

  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Should be organized and motivated to learn

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to complete projects with limited supervision.

  • Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed

  • NYS driver's license preferred
