We are currently seeking an Intern for Summer 2022. Our Internship Experience will provide excellent insight into the Business Development Department. A key goal of the Department is to identify geographic markets and relevant projects to pursue opportunities in line with OHLA USA’s core competencies to enable the company to grow and expand.

  • Review capital programs, budgets, and bid results from key clients for use in strategic planning.

  • Research upcoming business opportunities.

  • Work with the Communications Manager on social media initiatives.

  • Coordinate with regional offices and project sites for updates.

  • Update the proposal library and create content for social media, video and company-wide distributions.

  • Research industry competitions for opportunities to participate.

  • Assist in the creation of power point presentations for internal and external constituents.

  • Assist in the preparation of website content.

  • Assist in the ongoing development of corporate branding & communications plans.

  • Support Business Development team with proposal process and related tasks.

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Policy, and/or degree related to Construction or Engineering.

  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in construction industry post-graduation.

  • “Self-starter” mentality and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal communication (in-person and on the phone).

  • Ability to summarize research accurately & concisely in a written format.

  • Self-motivation, good organizational skills, detail-orientation, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives.

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with other employees and firm leadership.
