Duties & Responsibilities
Position Title Product Manager Sr. – Chronic Conditions
Are you a seasoned product development manager with experience creating innovative health care products? Have you managed a disciplined strategic process for developing ideas and taking them to market? If so, this important position might be right for you.
As we are investing in innovation and looking for a product manager who uses their strategic skills and creativity to build industry leading products that align with the evolving needs of our customers.
In this important role, you will support the Senior Director who leads Anthem’s Chronic Conditions Product Team to transform our product portfolio. You will manage a work-stream comprised of multidisciplinary stakeholders and clinical leaders across to drive the product roadmap an oversee the end-to-end creation of new products from concept to launch. You will evaluate market opportunities, competitors, and industry trends.

Champions the vision and guides the product strategy and roadmap.
Supports peers as the primary point person for all product details.
Coordinates with department leader to set priorities and secures stakeholder alignment.
Oversees the implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements.
Ensures collaborative workflow and that checks, and balances are maintained at each stage of development by following Anthem’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) approach.
Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on rate actions for existing products.
Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes and other methods.
Monitors product performance and those of competitors.
Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred. Health or managed care experience preferred.
4-6 years of relevant industry experience (product/program management, product planning/strategy); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Direct product management experience with disease management and digitally enabled chronic condition care programs is highly desirable (e.g., Diabetes, Hypertension, Musculoskeletal, Asthma, Heart Disease, Cancer, Kindy Disease).
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Program Management, or Risk Management
