National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum Visitor Services Associate in Cooperstown, New York

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an outgoing, professional person with excellent communication skills with the ability to multi-task in a fun, fast-paced environment. Ability to assist and comply with the duties assigned by the managers, under the immediate supervision of the Visitor Services Supervisor you will assist in the smooth operation of the museum staff.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Will assist in the day to day operations of the Museum including opening/closing functions, welcoming museum visitors with a high level of customer services. The Visitor Services Team is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for the visitor at all times. Assist with the execution of museum programming and special events.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
As scheduled assist in monitoring museum floors. Assist in training seasonal staff. Perform additional duties as required.

Abilities
The ability to communicate, interact with large crowds. Resourcefulness & flexibility is required, as well as the ability to work proactively and independently. Public speaking is a must.

Availability
Be available to work 20 hours per week. Be flexible to work weekends, holidays and evenings where necessary and on occasion when you are called in to work on regularly scheduled day off.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Duties may require you to be on your feet for most of the scheduled shift and to work in inclement weather conditions.
