Scope/Purpose of Position
As an Admin Intern at Corning, your role is crucial.You'll provide administrative and clerical support to individuals within our organization while also offering project support to our administrative team when necessary.
Roles & Responsibilities
Managing daily routine tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
Independently gathering information following established procedures.
Identifying and proposing solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.
Collaborating to ensure office coverage during standard business hours with administrative lead.
Assisting in maintaining calendars, managing phone calls, and coordinating travel details with the admin lead.
Event planning, including meetings and team-building activities.
Processing expense reports accurately and efficiently.
Managing and replenishing office supplies.
Utilizing our internal purchase order system effectively.
A professional presence, maturity, and appearance.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities, an unwavering attention to detail, and a commitment to error-free work.
Self-motivation, a proactive approach, and a keen eye for detail.

Business/Plant Specific Roles, Responsibility & Skills
Assist with annual summer event, including planning team participation, attendee communications, venue selection, potential volunteer activity, food service coordination, etc.
Assist Community Engagement function with Corning’s involvement in Watkins Glen Nascar event, including employee ticket selection, distribution, and tracking process for general admission tickets, Jack Daniels Club passes, and specialty racetrack experiences.
Assist Executive Assistants and/or Corporate Communications in support of Communications Meeting.
File Reconciliation Project
Organize files that are stored offsite and record files in Excel spreadsheet.

The range for this position is $1,519.00 - $3,074.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
