Seeking Seasonal Part Time Warming Center Cleaners t o join our Cortland Corps

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The cleaner is a motivated individual willing and ready to keep all Cortland Corps areas clean and ready for programs/services
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Clean the interior of the building including floors, carpets, rugs, windows and walls.
Disinfect commonly used items like tables, chairs, desks, door handles, office tools and phones, kitchen side and other used surfaces.
Dust furniture and fixings
Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
Clean and maintain restrooms
Empty Trash and Recycle bins
Keep all areas stocked with paper products, soap, surgical gloves, sanitizer, tissues…(as needed).
Keep outside areas clean from trash
Remove debris and snow from driveway and sidewalks, and salt (as needed)
Notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions or issues around the building
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
· Integrity and ability to work and manage time independently, effectively and proactively.
· Working knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment and ability to learn acceptable cleaning methods.
· Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
· Ability to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
· Ability to willingly attend and participate in training sessions.
