Six Flags Information Operator in Darien Center, New York
Seasonal position. Must be available evenings and week-ends.
This position is responsible for answering and servicing all calls made to the Darien Lake Theme Park Resort Switchboard. The employee should be courteous and helpful to all callers, guests and visitors; and present an overall professional and positive attitude of Darien Lake.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accepts incoming telephone inquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
Must be able to multitask, answer multiple calls and transfer them to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
Must be knowledgeable of other park departments and have the ability to accurately answer questions
Receptionist to all visitors and guests entering the Administration Building
Must be able to sell, service and process season passes, using the park's database system
Distribution of mail
Knowledgeable of the weekly detail sheets, promotions and concert schedule
Troubleshoot guest complaints and service accordingly (i.e. Transfer caller to the appropriate personnel or resolve issue with appropriate resources).
Keep reception and info center neat, uncluttered and professional at all times.
Accepts any duties as assigned by the Operating Supervisor and Public Relations Supervisor.
Must be available to work assigned schedule and expect schedule fluctuations based on demand.
All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as whole. Management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances dictate.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Outgoing and personable
Minimum of High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
Excellent telephone skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional appearance
Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
Willingness to work weekends, Holidays and non-traditional hours in season
Must have knowledge of multi-line switchboard key pad, hand-eye coordination
Must be able to read the telephone directory and be capable of hearing incoming calls through a headset
