SUNY Delhi Head Coach - Men's Soccer in Delhi, New York

The Head Men's Soccer Coach is responsible for all aspects of coordinating and maintaining a competitive NCAA Division III collegiate level Soccer program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Using current up to date coaching techniques to promote competitive performance.

  • Mentor student-athletes for academic and personal success.

  • Coordinate effective recruitment of student athletes for Men's Soccer utilizing Front Rush and assist with other athletics programs with an ongoing focus on increasing the number of bachelor degree students at SUNY Delhi.

  • Assist the Sports Information Director in promoting the Men's Soccer program.

  • Monitor the academic progress of all Men's Soccer student-athletes.

  • Maintain the inventory of all Men's Soccer related equipment and uniforms, and generate needed specific quotes for necessary equipment replacement as indicated in end of season reports.

  • Assist with effective competitive NCAA Division III non-conference scheduling for Men's Soccer.

  • Communicate all program budgetary needs in writing to the Associate Athletic Director.

  • Prepare end of season and other Athletics Department reports as required.

  • Promote and represent the Athletics Department and SUNY Delhi in an ethical, positive, and professional manner.

  • Professional obligation for this position requires working various nights, and weekends with scheduled athletic competitions and recruiting obligations.

  • Travel to recruit student-athletes following NCAA recruiting bylaws.

  • Follow all NCAA Division III and North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rules and Bylaws.

  • Current CPR / First Aid certifications required.

  • Athletics Department positions require a clean Driver's License in order to operate NY state vehicles and transport student-athletes

  • Take and pass the NCAA required annual Coaches test

  • 25 % additional duties for the Athletics Department will be assigned and include Game Day operations, Intramurals or other athletics related needs of the department.

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited institution

  • Successful Collegiate level Soccer coaching experience

  • Valid unrestricted driver's license

  • CPR / First Aid Certification

  • Take and pass annual NCAA coaching test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree

  • Obligation: 10-months

  • Anticipated start date: 08/01/2024

  • Work schedule: Full-time, requires working nights and weekends with scheduled athletic competitions and recruiting obligations.

  • Salary: $52,388, SL-4

  • Reports to: Director of Athletics
