JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Supervisor loves the brand, loves our products, and is passionate about bringing those products to life for our customers. Supervisors support the senior management team in the building on a daily basis. Further, as leaders, they create a positive customer, employee, and brand experience, and they support all associates in achieving store, team and individual goals. Supervisors are directly responsible for their Department of Responsibility (DOR), as well as running the sales floor in order to drive top line sales and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assigns tasks to all associates in their zones, offering follow up and feedback when necessary

  • Day-to-day supervision, staffing, and zoning of the workforce with particular emphasis on sales and customer service

  • Establishes, monitors, and analyzes sales goals on a daily basis

  • Sets obtainable, personalized sales goals for the team

  • Runs the sales floor as the Manager on Duty (MOD) and drives strong hourly sales and KPI results by coaching in the moment

  • Ensures promotions and price changes are accurate and merchandised/signed properly

  • Promotes a team based work environment

  • Maintains overall store presentation in alignment with visual merchandising directives

  • Performs all opening and closing procedures, following all cash handling procedures

  • Offers timely and appropriate follow-up communication on tasks, product issues, customer feedback, and business opportunities as needed

  • Leads morning meetings and pre-shift communication to ensure all associates are set up for success

  • Trains all associates on the four service skills as laid out in customer service training

  • Oversees adherence to established company policies and standards by all associates

  • Collaborates with management on the day-to-day operations of the store, employee concerns, promotions, and trends

  • Maintains personal DOR as laid out by management\ Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have excellent communication and listening skills

  • Must have an ability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, store openings and closings, to meet the needs of the business

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time

  • 1-2 years experience in retail and/or customer service experience in the service industry with proven results; supervisory experience preferred

  • Ability to supervise store teams effectively

  • Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards as they apply to workforce

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills

  • Must possess a high threshold for ambiguity and change

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt to ever changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
