INFICON Internship - Process Engineering and Production Summer 2022 in East Syracuse, New York

This position will report into and support the Process Engineering Team. Job duties will be to support and assist the Production Engineering team on both production support and continuous project initiatives. In this role the main responsibilities will be::
Assist with log sheets, SPC of machine and process variables, measurements, etc.
Assist with the analysis of process data and yield data to improve the process
Assist with troubleshooting issues and determining root cause. Provide thorough and detailed Root Cause Analysis and 8D reports utilizing lean tools such as 5Whys, Fishbone, PDCA, etc.
Assist with process definition including work instructions, pFMEA, control plans, production layout, and ergonomics
Performs time studies, create process flow and value stream maps, identify and reduce waste to drive productivity and reduce costs
Document and Review Production and Test Processes and edit and create MAP work instructions
Assist with the design, development, test and implementation of production tooling, fixtures and equipment to create efficient production systems
Performs process audits to ensure consistent assembly
