We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in SYRACUSE, New York, working within a CPA Firm. The selected candidate will aid in the processing of individual tax returns during the tax season.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation of individual tax (1040 INDV) returns

• Utilize tax software, particularly CCH Tax, for tax preparation tasks

• Handle approximately 20 tax preparations on a weekly basis

• Ensure detailed accuracy in all prepared tax documents

• Provide minimal client interactions, mainly managing drop offs

• Perform data entry tasks as required

• Deliver high-quality customer service

• Use accounting software systems effectively

• Understand and apply knowledge of tax allowances and deductibles

• Commit to the responsibilities and tasks with a caring and dedicated attitude.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx is essential

• Experience with CCH Sales Tax is desired

• Knowledge of Drake Tax Software is an advantage

• Capability to perform Accounting Functions is necessary

• Understanding of Allowances in taxation is required

• Excellent Customer Service skills are a must

• Accurate and efficient Data Entry skills are needed

• Knowledge of tax Deductibles is important
