Will hand cut individual heads of cabbage placing Individually into bins, wagons, or cartons using knife. Will harvest. pack and plant cabbage. Drive commodity trucks and or tractors and other equipment. Assist with irrigation. Will plant and harvest commodities by hand or machine. Duties include sorting, packing, and loading harvested products in the fields. Will unload, grade, pack, and stack beans in warehouse. will weigh beans and add or remove from container to obtain specified weight. Will cover commodity sheds with film and secure with weights. Use hand tools such as shears and knives. Work requires standing, walking, bending repetitively, lifting up to 60 pounds and kneeling. Will drive bus to transport workers to work location. Not all workers will be requested to drive. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess appropriate license. No one will be rejected for the position that does not posses a driver's license. Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 3 months verifiable experience in performing the tasks posted in this Job order. Random drug and alcohol testing may be done if required by a government regulation, post-hire at employers expense. Work is scheduled 7 days a week. Worker will have a 24-hour rest period weekly, and no one will be required to work 7 days per week or be terminated for not working 7 days per week. Workers may be requested but not required to work on their Sabbath.
Requirements:
- Three months experience in commercial conventional farming in the jobs listed is required.
- Random drug and alcohol testing may be done, post-hire at employers expense.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Lifting requirement of 60 lbs.
- Repetitive movements, extensive pushing/pulling, extensive sitting or walking, and frequent stooping.
