Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising maintenance tasks, completing a 90-day familiarization period followed by an additional 90-day supervised maintenance experience, and performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on packaging machinery and packaging line machinery. You will also receive mentoring on various equipment and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety and quality

• Execute maintenance work orders

• Follow maintenance processes and procedures

• Implement maintenance programs

• Install and inspect machines and electrical equipment

• Carry out preventive maintenance to ensure machines remain operational

• Perform any other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• Experience with packaging equipment, robotics, PLCs, automation, and preventive maintenance

• Knowledge in ESL, thermodynamics, electrical systems, and PLCs for the Processing Department

• Experience with engine repair, boilers, water tanks, and compressors for the Utility Department

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance skills

• Electromechanical knowledge

• Ability to work with up to 480V

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read blueprints

• Standard building maintenance skills

• Experience with welding

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in one of the Engineering disciplines or equivalent related fields

• Completion of an Apprentice Program

• 1-3 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a related field

• Experience in liquid food packaging and processing or equivalent

Work Environment

This position is located in a food manufacturing environment. We have multiple openings across different shifts in various departments. The Packaging Department has 5 openings on 1st shift, 2 openings on 2nd shift, and 3 openings on 3rd shift. The Processing Department has 1 opening on 1st shift, 1 opening on 2nd shift, and 3 openings on 3rd shift. The Utilities Department has 2 openings on 1st shift, 2 openings on 2nd shift, and 1 opening on 3rd shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Elma, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00
