WHO WE NEED
We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Project Accountant to work part time in our Endwell, NY office. The successful candidate will have five or more years of experience with computerized accounting systems, along with a Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or specialized training in computerized accounting systems .
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and strong communication, organizational & computer skills, and the abilities to work in a team environment and multi-task are essential. Duties will include:
Processing billing and accounts receivable transactions.
Acting as a liaison to the Project Managers, verifying that we have an executed purchase order or contract, understanding the billing terms for each contract, providing draft invoices that accurately reflect the contract billing requirements, producing final invoices, tracking receipts, and maintaining the billing files.
Processing accounts payable transactions, acting as a liaison to our vendors, paying all outstanding vouchers prior to the end of the billing period, and maintaining the AP files.
Reviewing subcontractor invoices for compliance with our contracts with the owner and the subcontractor and maintaining records on the status of each subcontract.
Performing analysis of general ledger accounts and making adjustments.
Working on schedules to support annual financial audits.
