WHO WE NEED
We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Architectural Designer in the Architectural Group in one of our NY offices (Endwell, Schenectady, Syracuse, or Vernon). The candidate should have a Degree in Architecture or Architectural Design. Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is required. Experience in Lumion is highly preferred. This is a design position and the candidate is responsible to lead the design effort on architecturally lead projects. Primary duties will include:
Performing work which involves conventional and/or complex types of building plans, investigations, surveys, structures or equipment.
Coordinating with mechanical, plumbing, electrical and civil disciplines.
Solving architectural problems using experience, judgment, and education.
Remaining proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and CADD, plus group design software(s).
Preparing or assisting the Project Manager in the preparation of architectural/engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
Attending and/or leading client meetings and presentations.
Communicating with client representatives, contractors, suppliers.
Serving and/or leading field inspection teams to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes, sketches, photography.
Developing quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.
Developing project specifications and bidding documents.
Participating and/or leading site visits, inspections and documentation during construction.
