    This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

LOCATION OF POSITION:Monroe One BOCES - 41 O’Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; eSTART - CW Building Henrietta

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 10, 2025 - August 20, 2025; Part Time . Hours: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.

Mandatory Summer Set-Up Meetings:

June 4th = O’Connor Academy, eStart, Transition/Employment, Creekside (BPA Unit + TES Staff)

June 11th = Creekside (BUP Unit)

June 12th = Bird/Morgan

SALARY RANGE:$32.33 - $52.43 per hour or your 2025-26 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff

*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

DUTIES:

  1. Plan and provide Science instruction for adolescent students exhibiting social, emotional and learning needs in accordance with NYS mandates.

    1. Implement and evaluate Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.

    2. Implement and evaluate behavior intervention plans for secondary students.

    3. Work in a team environment that fosters the philosophy of collaborative planning and an interdisciplinary approach to learning.

    4. Effectively communicate with school staff, parents, districts and community agencies.

    5. Supervise a student work study site as part of student transition goal development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current and valid NYS Certification in Special Education and in the content area of Biology and/or Earth Science, Grades 7-12.

    1. Successful teaching experience instructing Special Education High School Biology and/or Earth Science.

    2. Experience working with high school age students with emotional/behavioral challenges strongly preferred.

    3. Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention strategies or similar problem solving strategies preferred.

    4. Applicants must commit to the full 30-day Summer Program.

    5. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
