In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the opportunity to assist and deliver customer service to visitors from around the world. Our team members genuinely enjoy interacting with people, know what it takes to provide excellent customer service.


  • Serve as a primary contact for incoming telephone calls to the Command Center.

  • Maintain a positive customer-service attitude when interacting with all US Open Guests.

  • Maintain a professional, positive and effective working relationship with all US Open Staff.

  • Attend training and maintain a level of proficiency throughout the event as follows:

  • The ability to prioritize calls and differentiate emergency calls from normal operations-type calls.

  • An understanding of how to direct calls within the Command Center to expedite response of personnel and resources when necessary.

  • An understanding of all the operational components of the Command Center.

  • An understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the personnel assigned within the Command Center.

  • An understanding of the all US Open safety and security documents and related procedures.

  • An understanding of the all Command Center security programs.

  • An understanding of the Suite Security Program and specific components of this program to be implemented.

  • An understanding of and the implementation of the following systems:

  • Event Management System (EMS)

  • US Open Command Center Email Response Protocol

  • Text Messaging Program

  • Assist the Command Center Director and perform additional duties as directed.


  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with others.

  • Possess proficiency with Microsoft and other computer skills.

  • Possess proficiency with multi-line telephones.

  • Possess proficiency with other communications technology, such as text messaging, etc.
