Job Summary

The Floor Manager performs a variety of duties relating to lounge-style service including greeting and serving the Card Member, cold food preparation, stocking counters and steam tables, and maintaining sanitation standards. Responsible customer service is a major function of this position.

Training the staff on a daily and weekly basis. Ensuring that the lounge is operating appropriately.

This is a seven-day operation; work schedule will include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stocks salad bar, hot food, dessert station, beverage stations and hand fruit accurately, and in a timely manner as per the menu

  • Checks to ensure that all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards

  • Displays foods under appropriate hot or cold as per standards

  • Compete cold food preparation assignments accurately and in a timely fashion

  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service as assigned

  • Cleans tables and chairs, as assigned, before, during, and after meal service

  • Arranges tables, chair and cushions as per standard plan for the lounge

  • Checks and stocks salt, pepper, napkins, flatware, trays, coffee hopers as appropriate

  • Consistently exhibits the ability to keep up with peak lounge hours and does so calmly, accurately and efficiently

  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains same to guests accurately

  • Responsible for ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures – follows HACCP standards

  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area

  • Handles foods items appropriately during preparation

  • Ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and in following prescribed production standards

  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service as assigned

  • Cleans equipment, as assigned and in a timely fashion

  • Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments

  • Represents company in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner

  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains same to guests accurately

  • Relays relevant comments from guests directly to supervisors

  • Interact with guests and resolves guest complaints in a friendly and service oriented manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred

  • Two to four years fine dining restaurant management experience is required

  • Flexibility with schedule -- hours will include evenings and weekends

  • Comprehensive food and wine knowledge. Applicant should be well versed on food and wine pairings

  • Requires operations management experience with purchasing knowledge

  • Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS Office products

  • ServSafe Certified preferred
