We are seekingCommand Center - Special Ops Manager who play an essential role in the US Open guest experience. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the opportunity to assist and deliver customer service to visitors from around the world.   • Report to and work closely with the US Open Director of Security.

  • Perform duties as directed by the US Open Director of Security.

  • Work closely with the US Open Director of Security and the Command Center Director to coordinate safety and security programs during the US Open.

  • Prepare Staff Change Forms for all Command Center Staff desk position and submit to HR staff for approval, who will then forward on to IT staff for activation proceedings.

  • Revise and maintain the Command Center Desk Positions Workstations document.

  • Coordinate with IT staff to ensure that all IT components at each Command Center desk position is operating properly.

  • Revise and maintain the Command Center TV Monitor Layout document.

  • Coordinate with Facility Operations AV Manager to ensure that all TV monitors and systems within the Command Center are operating properly and to also ensure that all NYPD camera feeds are available within the Command Center.

  • Ensure that all office supplies have been ordered and are on hand before the start of the US open.

  • Organize and maintain the entire Command Center space.

  • Coordinate all cleaning efforts for the Command Center through Facility Operations, both prior to the start of and on a daily basis during, for the US Open.

  • Coordinate beverage needs for the Command Center and all other “approved” security locations using the Event Management System (EMS) Beverage Section.

  • Work closely with the US Open Director of Security on all Security Deployments and execute the following tasks:

  • Revise all Security Deployments as directed

  • Revise and maintain all Security Deployments, to include recording of all “Actuals” data after submission from our US Open Security Provider and report any discrepancies to the US Open Director of Security

  • Revise and maintain all Security Deployment Budgetary Summary Reports

  • Prepare any and all mappings related to Security Deployments

  • Prepare any and all reports concerning Security Deployments

  • Work closely with the US Open Director of Security on all Guest Access Deployments and correlating documentation.

  • Maintain all of the documents contained within the Command Center Drive.

  • Issue all portable radios within the Command Center and maintain the log.

  • Work jointly with the other US Open Staff to coordinate all efforts for Lost & Found, both during the US Open and for the post- US Open process.

  • Coordinate and operate all security programs supported through the Command Center, to include the following:

  • Event Management System (EMS)

  • Incident Reporting

  • Vehicle Access

  • Vehicle Delivery Procedure

  • Lost & Found

  • Text Messaging Program

  • US Open Command Center Email Response Protocol

  • Coordinate with IT EMS Support staff to ensure the preparation and accuracy of the following:

  • 24 Hour Recap Report for Incident Reporting (General; Fire & Life Safety; and Medical-Spectator & Staff)

  • Daily Executive Management Summary Report

  • Vehicle Access and Vehicle Delivery Procedure Training

  • Coordinate the setup of the Vehicle Inspection Station

  • Coordinate the set-up of all First Aid Stations, to include supplies and equipment needs.

  • Revise all Vehicle Delivery Passes and other security-related collateral materials and ensure their production prior to the start of the US Open.

  • Work closely with the US Open Director of Security on all security-related training programs and correlating documentation.


  • Possess event operations experience or Sports Business Management college course work.

  • Possess excellent communication skills.

  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft and other computer skills.
