We are seekingCommand Center - Wheelchair Escort Coordinators who play an essential role in the US Open guest experience. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the opportunity to assist and deliver customer service to visitors from around the world. Our team members genuinely enjoy interacting with people, know what it takes to provide excellent customer service.

  • Collaborate with our wheelchair escort vendor to provide wheelchair services to US Open Guests.

  • Serve as a primary contact for incoming telephone calls to the Command Center.

  • Maintain a positive customer-service attitude when interacting with all US Open Guests.

  • Maintain a professional, positive and effective working relationship with all US Open Staff.

  • Attend training and demonstrate a level of proficiency of the following tasks throughout the event:

  • The ability to prioritize calls and differentiate emergency calls from normal operations-type calls.

  • Direct calls within the Command Center to expedite response of personnel and resources when necessary.

  • An understanding of all the operational components of the Command Center.

  • An understanding of the all US Open safety and security documents and related procedures.

  • Accurate work within the following systems:

    • Event Management System (EMS)
  • US Open Command Center Email Response Protocol

  • Additional duties as directed

  • Prior Event operations experience or college course work required

  • Ability to operate multi-line telephones and radios

  • Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform

  • Must maintain a positive demeanor during interactions with guests and staff

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft and other computer programs

  • Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament and be available days, nights, weekends and extended hours

  • Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Bilingual (preferred)

    Pay Rate: $16 per hour
