Clean Earth of New York is permitted to receive and process petroleum and non-petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soil, sediment, and media. This state-of-the-art low temperature thermal desorption facility serves the New York, Vermont, Connecticut, and Massachusetts region.

The General Laborer is responsible for performing facility cleaning and maintenance and material processing line work in a safe and efficient manner. Material processing line work includes ensuring unacceptable materials are removed from a sorting line.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.

• Remove paper, plastic, and metal contaminants from materials on the processing line.

• Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks.

• Perform minor preventative and other maintenance on equipment.

• Clean facility grounds and equipment as scheduled or necessary.

• Maintain clean work area and excellent safety and attendance record.

• This position requires the ability to work overtime and various shifts which may include weekends.

This position requires the ability to work in outdoor conditions during all seasons and in various types of weather.

Pay: $20/hr + $1/hr shift differential

Experience:

• No prior experience is required; experience in operating small and heavy equipment preferred

• Prior experience on processing and/or constructions sites is preferred/helpful

• Some familiarity with welding, cutting, plumbing, and electrical is preferred/helpful

• High School Diploma preferred, not required
