Learning Resource Program

JOB SUMMARY:

Oversee the LRP clinical social work services and supervise professional social workers on staff. Maintain part time clinical caseload. Perform duties as associate director regarding the effective development and delivery of the Learning Resource Program.

This is a 12-month hybrid position, with one day per week worked remotely (schedule to be determined by department).

Title Position Reports To:Director of Learning Resource Program

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  1. Maintain a small caseload of LRP students, as needed.

  2. Weekly supervision and professional development of Masters Level Social Workers as well as Graduate Level Social Work students.

  3. Create caseload distribution for social workers.

  4. Hire and train new professional and graduate level social work staff and educational staff where appropriate.

  5. Participate in program recruitment in collaboration with program director.

  6. Coordinate and oversee team educational/counseling team meetings as needed.

  7. Serve on university committees and task forces, as appropriate.

  8. Collaborate with director to organize and manage annual summer semester for incoming students.

  9. Organize and develop summer housing programming for first year summer program participants, as needed.

  10. Develop and oversee annual Campus Ally Program.

  11. Support the director in enrollment planning which involves

    a. Collaboration with admissions for incoming class

    b. Collaboration with admissions on creative avenues of recruitment and best practices

    c. Review application files, including documentation

    d. Interview applicants

    e. Make final decision on acceptance and rejection decisions

  12. Hold information sessions for prospective applicants and parents.

  13. Attend recruitment events on and off campus as necessary.

  14. Consult with guidance counselors, special education teachers, parents and educational consultants regarding program services.

  15. Assess, initiate and provide parent, student and team meetings when necessary.

  16. Assist in maintenance and delivery of scholarships/gift giving.

  17. Collaborate with SAO, faculty and staff across campus as necessary.

  18. Maintain student and employee data that reflects effectiveness of program.

  19. Ensure the currency of LRP communications.

  20. Assist in maintenance and delivery of scholarships/gift giving.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Broad knowledge base in delivery of services to students with LD and/or ADHD.
  21. Excellent assessment and clinical skills.

  22. Supervisory experience.

  23. Excellent interpersonal skills.

  24. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  25. Counseling and psychiatric assessment experience.

  26. Experience with electronic records, record keeping.

  27. Ability to adapt to a variety of technological tools for both record keeping and making.

  28. Able to adapt to virtual mode as necessary.

    EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.

  • Minimum 10 years job-related experience in both clinical and administrative positions.

  • SIFI certification preferred.

    POSITION(S) SUPERVISED:

  • Directly supervises Clinical social work staff.

  • Supervision of Clinical Educators as determined by director.
