AON Claims Professional I in Garden City, New York
Claims Professional I:
You will be responsible for developing, operationalizing, and actioning an effective, dynamic, Workforce Management process where they will perform real-time analysis, create and identify efficiencies, leverage reporting to determine resource and skill set needs of Claims Operations. Identify, define, and design reporting needs to manage Workforce efficiently. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (remote and Garden City, NY office).
Performs real-time analysis duties to ensure service levels are met.
Monitors claim volume in real time and flexes workforce accordingly.
Ensures that the best possible Claim service levels are achieved by maximizing utilization.
Monitors Claim volume and claims age, along with historical reporting, in real time & adjusts resources along with work distribution to ensure consistent service is maintained.
Designs and manages an efficient Workforce Management process for short-term future needs which includes the management of paid time off (PTO) planning.
Determines how to best distribute the staff to meet projected claim volumes.
Analyzes historical patterns to determine nature, variance, and seasonality of Claim arrival patterns.
Develops a set of priority rules that will govern how claims are assigned.
Establish a set of claim resources and monitoring processes to manage schedule administration, communication and to track performance.
Identifies gaps in production and provides supporting information to area Managers
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills and abilities
Ability to make decisions and utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate action.
Understanding of whether new procedures need to be developed and create those procedures
Ability to establish productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals to exchange information and make recommendations as well as role modeling.
Ability to work independently with general instruction and the ability to prioritize and organize work.
Additional Skills:
Strong MS Excel Skills
Experience with Workforce Management concepts
Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, etc.) a plus

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
