Description

Miller & Milone P.C., a mid-sized law firm based in Garden City, are looking for a full-time Financial Planning Analyst.

Role Summary:

The Financial Planning Analyst (‘FP Analyst’) will support business operations and will demonstrate accountability for forecasts, financial execution, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that support forecasting, improving operations reporting, process simplification, business forecasts and contribute to the overall business strategy. This is a high visibility role supporting leadership with adept analytics to drive business strategy, sustainable growth and operational execution. The FP Analyst will partner with senior management in anticipating and serving the evolving needs of the business to maximize profitability and cash.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the operations team to drive operating performance, track revenue and cost and manage working capital

  • Forecast financials and present financial results to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability

  • Develop estimates, operating plans, forecasts for medium/long term, and analyze variances to forecasts and determine key actions to achieve targets

  • Drive a mindset of process simplification, digitization and automation within the business and financial organization

  • Assist in cost benefit analyses and pricing of operational services

  • Support forecasting and support regular business reviews

  • Support financial/process simplification initiatives

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1-3 years of total work experience preferred, experience in financial planning and analysis preferred

  • A strategic thinker with solid business judgment

  • Data analysis skills, including data manipulation and reporting to identify trends and extract business intelligence

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels

  • Strong account reconciliation skills

  • Computer and technical skills, advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and all MS Office applications

  • Proficiency with SQL

    Schedule: Monday through Friday – 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
