Description

The Legal Collections Clerk is responsible for assisting with the account litigation process. A heavy volume of work each week must be completed efficiently and accurately to ensure smooth workflow throughout the department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing legal documents for client review and signature

  • Reviewing legal documents for accuracy

  • Tracking submission of legal documents to and from clients

  • Verifying patient data using sources such as ePACES, Lexis, and Westlaw

  • Assisting in the debtor recovery process using skip tracing

  • Reviewing referral details in client hospital terminals (Eagle, EPIC)

  • Requesting estate searches

  • Scanning documents into the Firm's patient database (Artiva)

  • Preparing and mailing letters to patients

  • Performing routine filing

    Position Requirements:

  • Must be computer-savvy with Microsoft Excel experience

  • Strong organization and time-management skills

  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and resourceful

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Must comply with HIPAA and FDCPA guidelines

    Schedule: The position is full-time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    *One late shift 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Mon-Thurs)
