Deckers Retail LLC Seasonal Stockroom Operations Lead in Garden City, New York
The Stock Lead aids in the management of the retail store in strict compliance with company policies and procedures, consistent with the short and long-term interests of the Company, its employees and the local environment in which we work and live. He/she will consistently provide our customers with the highest level of service and assist the Store Management Team while monitoring the product life cycle, driving sales and monitoring associate performance in the stockroom. He/she must be knowledgeable of all products and have a passion for merchandising.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources/Team Development:
Instill in employees the meaning and importance of Deckers core values.
Promote a positive work environment by recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining a respectful work place.
Inspire employees to contribute to the overall productivity of the store and lead by example.
Offer feedback and role model exceptional stock standards.
Responsible for partnering with Store Management Team to train and develop all stock associates.
Prepares and communicates daily tasks to staff.
Communicate any special customer requests to management as it relates to product or service.
Maintains the stockroom areas in a neat and orderly manner, and ensures stock processes and policies are in place at all times.
Receives, unloads and verifies new merchandise shipment within set time limits manually with the help of receiving equipment and operators
Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to designated sales floor areas as needed.
Replenishes merchandise as needed by taking product from the bulk racks and takes them to the appropriate location on the selling floor.
Helps to assemble, pack and ship transfers of merchandise between retail locations or distribution centers.
Controls the damaged merchandise and mis-mate inventory by processing according to company standards in a timely manner monthly.
Practices security measures that help deter theft, understands the procedures for handling transfers in or out, receiving new merchandise, handling merchandise discrepancies.
Primary business owner of the stockroom; oversees all functional areas including shipment processing, product placement and transfers.
Monitors physically inventory accuracy.
Oversees receiving activity under direction of store management.
Be a partner to the Store Management Team in monitoring stock associates, and provide feedback to the associate when needed.
Responsible for handling customer charge sends and store transfers.
Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs and address their questions and concerns.
Ensures the stock desk is organized and efficiently operated at all times.
Strategically plans for new product arrivals and executes necessary stockroom adjustments.
Maintains keys to the store for the purposes of accepting shipment and other stock specific responsibilities.
Ensure company policies and procedures are communicated in a timely manner and adhered to accordingly.
Assist the Store Manager in achieving the fiscal business plan by daily monitoring and execution of sales and productivity plans.
Proficient in Microsoft Applications
Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organization.

High School Diploma
1-2 years minimum experience preferred
