The System Administrator is part of the IT team at Miller & Milone P.C. that provides efficient and productive utilization of technology by all employees. The System Administrator assists users with hardware, software, application, and system issues. In addition the System Administrator actively participates in server, network, and security administration tasks as required and directed by the Director of IT.

The System Administrator also works with business units to identify solutions to meet technology needs and enhance system functionality.


  • Provide on-site and remote end-user desktop support for a Windows environment

  • Support, troubleshoot, and ensure the integrity of all line-of-business application systems

  • Work with healthcare clients and IT departments to resolve networking and remote access issues

  • Add, remove, and change users and computers using Active Directory

  • On-board employees to applications, including account creation, permission setting, and training

  • Update application screens and functions as dictated by business needs

  • Ensure reliable delivery of accurate reports to business units

  • Maintain Hardware and Software Inventories

  • Research, recommend, and implement new and improved features

  • Assist with server OS updates and maintenance

  • Assist with security management of endpoint protection, group policies, firewalls and more


  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience using, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows 10 and Office 2016/2019

  • Must display impeccable customer service skills and team-player attitude

  • Must show meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent problem solving skills, knowledge of tools and techniques for resolving problems with applications

  • Must have the ability to rapidly learn new software applications and business models

  • Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Must have the ability to work and develop solutions with minimal or no supervision

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • College degree in the field of Computer Science, information systems, or software engineering

The Following is Preferred:

  • Ability to write and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server

  • Basic database administration of MS SQL Server and SSRS report building

  • Experience with Active Directory Group Policy management

  • Working knowledge of VMware, Veeam

  • Understanding of key networking technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, FTP, DNS, and DHCP

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft file servers including shares, NTFS permissions, and Volume Shadow Copies

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
