JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to join our Guest Relations team. The Guest Relations Associate is responsible for conducting all nightly audit related duties while providing exceptional customer service for guests at the Big Tree Inn. The Guest Relations Associate will balance and audit for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashiers reports, as well as assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenue. This position will require an individual to act as the Inn’s liaison during night hours and handle the requests and transactions of the hotel guests, including check in and check out services, phone reservations and any needs that may arise for our guests. Incumbent will be one of high integrity, an individual contributor as well as team member. Incumbent will treat customers and fellow employees with respect, approach others in a tactful manner, follow through on commitments, uphold organizational values, and work with integrity and ethics.Saturday/Sunday overnight 11pm - 7am Guest Relations AssociateWednesday 9am - 12pm Housekeeping

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check in/out guests, performing all checkout duties. Tasks may include: Verify departure dates and offer to make future reservations, Processing cash, credit and direct bill payments

  • Responsible for customer service and positive customer relations. Customer service may include: Provide directions and information local area attractions, Wake up calls, Provide guests information pertaining to hours of restaurant and tavern operation, Administrative support to include follow-up correspondence with guests regarding their experience

  • Answer guest questions regarding local and area attractions

  • Responsible for knowing Big Tree Inn emergency procedures

  • Utilizes computer systems

  • Maintains a professional and positive image at all times

  • Responsible for knowing Big Tree Inn emergency procedures

  • Communicate with other departments to fulfill guests special requirements

  • Assists with setup as needed to include: morning, event center and prep of dining areas

  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of common areas of the Inn

  • Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies

  • May assist with inventory process

  • Carry out any reasonable request by management that is needed for the efficient operation of the Big Tree Inn

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to provide exceptional customer service

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED, Associate's degree equivalenet in related field and six months related experience and or/ training: or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED, Associate's degree or equivalenet in related field and six months related experience and or/ training: or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED, Associate's degree or equivalenet in related field and six months related experience and or/ training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods preferred

  • Safety and customer service oriented

  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions

  • Able to work without direct supervision

  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
