The ideal candidate for this position would prior food preparation experience in a high volume kitchen but more importantly have a passion for what they are doing. They should possess a current Safe Food Handler Certificate to help ensure that all food meets local, state and federal guidelines and regulations while ensuring that customers are always provided with safe and high quality food. The candidate would need to have the physical stamina to perform the requirements of the position and work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends. Fluency in speaking and writing English.
• Prepares food items to order following established recipes and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
Restocks food supplies and takes inventory when required
Current Safe Food Handler certificate
High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations regarding food practices and handling preferred
One year of relevant experience
Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations regarding food practices and handling required
Prompt, reliable, and responsible
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
